Completing a BA degree in Applied Design in 2005 from Stellenbosch Academy and Photography, Fred has been working in the creative industry since. Two foundation years at Room 13 Design, Cape Town, introduced him to the design industry where he did work for clients such as Spier Arts, Gavin Rajah, Jane Raphaely and Visi Magazine.

Joining Off the Wall Contemporary, Paarl, in 2008, he contributed to the opening of the design studio, alongside the already existing contemporary gallery. He had the opportunity to experience and explore the fine arts scene as a designer, exhibiting with artists such as Chris Diedericks, Gordon Froud, Michael Taylor and others. He has also been privileged to have exhibited at The Design Indaba Expo, KKNK Arts Festival, The Annual Homemakers Expo and Whatiftheworld Gallery.

From January 2009 until October 2010 he has freelanced as graphic designer / artist / illustrator in Cape Town, procuring an immense amount of experience in the business side of things. Fred rejoined the creative team at Room 13 Design as senior designer at the end of 2010, starting a new journey with a very powerful and inspiring team of visionary creatives.
